Renewable Energy Grants Extended By Obama Administration

On December 17, 2010, President Obama signed the "Job Creation Act", which extends the cash grant program for renewable energy projects for one year. The latter was initially enacted as part of the "Recovery Act" but was scheduled to expire end of 2010.

The Boston Globe's Beth Daley reports, that New Bedford, Massachusetts has been announced as the staging area for wind turbine pieces. According the report, New Bedford now expects 200 additional jobs.
