Boston Climate Bridge travels to Copenhagen

A delegation of 20 professional women from Boston traveled to Copenhagen, Denmark last week. The trip participants, specialists in development, policy, planning, architecture, engineering, construction, energy, housing, transportation, education, finance and law set for an inspirational journey to learn from the City of Copenhagen about their efforts in becoming more resilient, sustainable and in reducing their carbon footprint. Our goal is to increase the knowledge exchange between the two Cities.

Clarendon Hill Consulting and team held their second of three Public Workshops on the Roxbury Heritage State Park (RHSP) Project to present alternatives for improvements to the Dillaway-Thomas House and the rehabilitation of the surrounding park along with concepts for an exhibit for the Department of Conservation and Recreation on April 24. Governor Deval Patrick's administration is investing $2 million in the revitalization of the RHSP this year.

Cape Wind signs deal with Siemens for offshore wind turbines

The Cape Wind Offshore Project has gotten one step closer to becoming reality: On December 23rd Jim Gordon, President of Cape Wind Associates announced their deal to buy 101 3.6 MW offshore wind turbines from the turbine manufacturer Siemens. Additional 29 turbines might be purchased later.

New Bedfords Offshore Terminal gets permitted

 ... great benefits for the economy and the environment are to be expected!

New Bedford, Massachusetts received its permit from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for its planned Marine Commerce Terminal yesterday.

As New Bedford's Mayor John Mitchell has put it in his press statement, "the south terminal project holds the potential for the generation of jobs like nothing else that has materialized in this city in over a half-century".

Visit to the Offshore Wind Port in Esbjerg, Denmark
