Clarendon Hill Consulting LLC is a woman-owned small business founded as a startup in 2010. The company is based in the Greater Boston area and has strong ties to Europe. Clarendon Hill Consulting provides inter-disciplinary consulting and project management services in the areas of urban, regional and environmental planning, public outreach, permitting, sustainable design as well as Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

We are specialized in developing and conducting customized project approaches that meet the client's needs and stay well within the allocated schedule and budget. 

Working with current software for project management, word processing, design applications and Geographic Information Systems, Clarendon Hill provides a wide range of services, including research and writing, development of land use and master plans, development of neighborhood and building designs according to LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) principles, energy efficiency standards, infrastructure analysis, market analysis, and mapping and analysis with Geographic Information Systems (GIS).

Clarendon Hill Consulting has access to a broad network of partners in the United States, as well as in Europe. The company's founder and president Isabel Kaubisch has been working in the planning and renewable energy industry in Europe and the United States since 2002. She has a German University Diploma in Geography (equivalent to a Master of Science), the German equivalent to a Bachelor of Science in Biology, and a Certificate in Community Environmental Studies from Tufts University's Urban + Environmental Policy + Planning program.

Isabel's professional background includes recent experience related to offshore wind energy projects. This encompasses project management, port infrastructure and vessel analysis, transportation and deployment analysis and regulatory review. She has conducted market research in the Offshore Wind Industry, and gathered relevant knowledge about the specific problems relating to offshore wind energy projects and the shipping industry.

Previous projects Isabel worked on include consulting on siting and interconnection (including GIS analysis), constraints analysis, feasibility studies, environmental research and planning tasks such as Environmental Assessments and Environmental Impact Studies for wind farms and urban planning projects. She has experience with regulatory review and permitting in various U.S. states and Europe, especially Germany.

Isabel has a strong background in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and in the past has worked as a GIS Specialist and Research Engineer for the European Institut for Energy Research (EIFER). From previous employment as a planning assistant with the County of Euskirchen, Germany Isabel has experience in environmental, regional, land use and urban planning including the development and updating of land use plans and landscape conservation support plans and the development of public outreach concepts and their implementation. She also has worked on permitting and environmental impact statements, zoning maps and master development plans for development projects in Germany.

Ms.Kaubsich is a member of the Energy Advisory Committee to the Massachusetts Board of Building Regulations and Standards and affiliated with the American Planning Organization.
